Underwater Field Recording

I have extensive experience in guiding learners of all skill levels in using a hydrophone (a specialised microphone) to record field recordings underwater. I've conducted this workshop most recently at the Shop Bao Ngoc (@thatplaceonvictoriast) retreat, but it can be adapted to the safety of one's own home using small bowls of water, or to favourite local water spots like lakes, rivers and dams.

Making underwater field recordings invites joy, experimentation, playfulness and accessible electronic music-making. The workshop can be tailored from children to adults alike and can host up to three participants.
