Larissa has a Master of Biotechnology, a Bachelor of Science, and a Diploma of Music at The University of Melbourne. Larissa began learning piano at age five and piano at age six and has since completed her Associate Diploma in Music in Violin (2010), grade eight in Piano (2009) and grade six AMEB music theory (2012). She has played in numerous orchestras including the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Melbourne Youth Orchestra (1st violin), other Melbourne Youth Music programs, State School Spectacular, Australian Conservatoire of Ballet Orchestra, Heidelberg Chorale Symphony Orchestra and Camberwell Chorale Camerata Orchestra. Larissa has also performed as soloist with the Maroondah Symphony Orchestra.

Larissa attended Balwyn High School and was the Concertmaster of the Balwyn High School Symphony Orchestra and Senior String Orchestra as well as the leader of the Balwyn High School String Quartet.
