  • BA Hon

I started on the piano and theory when I was 6yrs. At 8yrs I started on the trumpet and 9yrs on French horn.
I have studied both in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom and have a degree in music from Leeds University (UK). I am able to teach both AMEB and ABRSM.
I started teaching in 1998, having taught all brass instruments both in private and public schools and privately at home in the UK from 1998-2002 at which point I returned to Australia, where I now teach Brass, Woodwind, Percussion as well as Piano and Theory here in Perth.

My most exciting achievement was teaching a 4 yr old boy trombone - a first for me, and an amazing experience.
I have achieved Grade 8 French Horn (ABRSM), Grade 6 Trumpet (ABRSM), Grade 5 Piano (ABRSM), and Grade 5 Theory (ABRSM and AMEB)

Just a few of the bands/orchestras I have performed in are:
Conservatorium of Music (French Horn); Queensland Youth Orchestra (French Horn); British National Youth Wind Orchestra (French Horn); Cheshire Philharmonic Orchestra (French Horn); Sunnybank Brass Band (Euphonium); Windsor Brass Band (Cornet), Indooroopilly Chamber Orchestra (French Horn), Brisbane Chamber Orchestra (French Horn), Amadeus Orchestra (F Horn)
