Learn music from a qualified teacher and experienced musician, in the comfort and convenience of your own home.
Who am I?-
I’m a 23 year old pianist, vocalist, professional performer and songwriter with a Bachelor Degree in Music (Contemporary Performance) from The Australian Institute of Music, my Associate Degree in Performance from The Conservatorium of Music (TAS), and 4 years teaching experience.
I have been classically trained in piano since I was 5 years old, and at the age of 12 also began to incorporate a more contemporary approach to my playing, focusing around accompaniment, chord progressions and structure, jazz theory and aural skills. At the age of 15 I began my vocal training, and then went on to major in contemporary singing at University.
What value can I add to your, or your child’s music education?
Having experience with both classical and contemporary teaching styles has lead me to understand the importance of students learning music from a variety of angles, and has also lead me to understand that some approaches will work for some students whereas they may not work for others. I pride myself on being adaptable to my students needs; whether it is exams you are wanting to prepare for, you want to learn a new hobby, you’re a singer wanting to accompany yourself, you need mentorship on your career, you want to learn by ear or you want to read music, what ever it may be, I have no doubt that I can help you accomplish what you set out to do.
I am genuinely passionate about nurturing the growth of budding musicians, I want to see you realise your full potential and have fun at the same time. Music is a part of all of us, and I believe the teacher needs to have a genuine interest in the students to build a friendship & trust which is vital to their progression.
I look forward to hearing from you and starting or resuming your musical journey.
Currently lessons are done in students own homes, if you do not have a piano or keyboard, not a problem, as I have a Roland FP-80 Digital Weighted Piano I can bring for an extra $15. You will just need to ensure you have approximately 1.5m clear space near a powerpoint.
I am currently looking to expand and rent out some studio space for the future.
My lessons start at the base rate of:
30 minutes for $35
45 minutes for $50
60 minutes for $65
Please note this price will differ depending on your location and whether or not you need me to bring the Roland. Group lessons are also available.
