I am a qualified Suzuki Flute teacher and I run a busy Flute Studio from my home studio in Mosman. Students range in age from 4 to 18 years.
Students have weekly individual lessons (30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on the level). Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs of the student in an encouraging environment. I believe that every child has the ability to learn and I strive to teach excellence each step of the way. I have trained with the best flute teachers in Australia, earning my Master of Music Performance in Flute. I teach students from absolute beginners to advanced using the Suzuki Method.
Group classes are an integral part of the Suzukiy Method. In these classes students will learn to play in small flute ensembles, perform new and current pieces whilst gaining valuable performance experience. Group classes allow students to interact with their peers in a fun environment. These classes will be scheduled twice per term plus twice yearly end of term parties and twice yearly studio concerts.
The Suzuki Method depends on the involvement of three people to succeed: the teacher, the parent and the child.
This is what we refer to as the Suzuki Triangle.
Your role will include:
Attending every lesson with your child
Taking notes during the lessons
Practicing at home everyday with your child
Playing the relevant CD recordings at home daily
