The best way to achieve big goals is to enjoy every step along the way. I strive to nimbly intertwine both achievement and the enjoyment of learning.
Here you'll be supplied with everything you need to forge a path in music; one free introductory lesson included.
I'm always happy to answer questions between lessons over text about your practice to keep you progressing between lessons at places you would otherwise get stuck, saving you money, time, and frustration.
Whether you're looking for yourself or your child, no matter your past musical experience, you've found a very open, friendly environment to start your journey.
My experience:
I am currently a teacher at the Crescendo Music Academy in Myaree, as well as the dedicated cello teacher for Lake Joondalup Baptist College.
I am currently doing a double major in music at the UWA Conservatorium of music, and have studied under some of the most respected cellists in Perth: Shigeru Komatsu of WASO, Dr Suzanne Wijsman at UWA, and right now, Jon Tooby, professor at WAAPA. I've been studying music for 17 years and the cello for 12.
I was also a member of the West Australian Youth Orchestra (WAYO) before my work took priority.
If you do wish to take a step into music with me or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Student reviews:
"I have been having lessons with Leitham since April 2020 as a beginner and have been very pleased with the progress I have made in this time. Being from a teaching background I recognised very early that Leitham is a natural and talented teacher. He is pleasant, patient and curtious; if a skill hasn’t been grasped , he will present the problem in another way."
Additional information:
I have an up-to-date working with children's check, and an up-to-date police clearance certificate.
Lessons can be done in both English and Italian.
