A graduate from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow Lesley has subsequently taught Viola and Violin as a peripatetic teacher in Glasgow and Oxford County, at The Cathedral Grammar School in Christchurch, New Zealand before moving to Canberra where she was happily involved in the Combined Grammar Schools Music Programme teaching individual students from preschool to Year 12 and introduction violin group lessons which successfully introduced students to the violin in a relaxed environment ensuring that all students had a positive experience regardless of their aptitude for the instrument. She thoroughly enjoyed conducting orchestras from beginner to advanced and coaching Chamber Music.. Over the years Lesley has aimed at ensuring that her students develope a sound technique while learning to love and enjoy playing. Her students have achieved excellent examination and audition results and can now be found playing both professionally and for pleasure, many now passing on their love of music to the next generation.
As a viola player she has played with the Scottish National Orchestra, the Royal Ballet Orchestra, Oxford Promusica, the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, the Canterbury Orchestra Trust and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra.
Lesley has recently returned to Australia from overseas and has limited vacancies for violin or viola students of all ages and standards either in her home or in yours in the Potts Point area.
Live the dream.
