Hello! Thank you swinging by : )
Let me paint a picture of what learning from would look like:
after getting in touch, you will receive from me a detailed email addressing any and all questions you might have about getting started : )
I will line-up a FREE tele-consult (no time limit!) so we can get to know each other a bit, formulate some goals, plan how to achieve them, and address any new questions you might have.
IF you want to proceed with lessons – YOU decide how long and how frequent you’d like them to be. And you can change your mind at any time!
between lessons, and again, completely FREE, you can email me questions you have and I will upload video responses to a private Google Drive folder so you can have my instruction on record forever.
That’s it. No pressure to buy lessons by the ‘semester’, no ‘jumping into’ a musical relationship completely blind. Your lessons are on your terms, with somebody you’ve come to know, and you get a personalised educational video library for free!
When you learn online with me, you can expect a smooth and convenient experience. I use high-end streaming software, cameras, and microphones to deliver a good-looking and good-sounding digital learning sessions. I carefully use screen-sharing and music-notation software to explain music theory, and can direct students to my own YouTube videos for reference demos of any technical topic.
In all my years as a teacher, I’ve never come across a better system that drives the musical and technical development of students faster than this!
Now, and less importantly, here’s a little bit about me!
I completed a BA and DipMus at the University of Melbourne (2013) and have maintained a private teaching studio since 2011.
As a musician, I am a casual clarinettist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, one half of Isolation Chamber (see website link), and a former clarinettist with the Air Force Band, Australia. Nowadays, I travel the world with my wife and two kids – teaching music to whoever asks for it : )
Before I became a professional musician, I worked as a Deli Assistant, field archaeologist, and personal trainer (not all at once!).
Can’t wait to hear from you.
