Guitar Lessons

I am Lillian Burgess, a second year jazz guitar student at WAAPA. I love music. Writing and performing are such beautiful forms of expression. I want to share the passion I have to younger students so they may find their enjoyment for music.

I am well trained in classical guitar, having lessons for 10 years and performing solo and in ensemble. During high school I played contemporary and jazz guitar, in classes and bands outside of school. Since moving to Perth, I've progressed further in my Jazz studies.

I will be teaching from the Progressive Guitar Method series. This teaches beginners how to read music and gain a strong understanding of the guitar. As the students' progress, I'll expand our lessons to developing genres they are interested in.
