Ling Ling was the youngest AMEB laureate having completed her Grade 8 certification at 8 years old, she was also the youngest competitor at the Preston Concerto Competition. She has a Bachelors of Music with Honors degree from the University of Melbourne as well as a Masters of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music having graduated with Magna Cum Laude. Ling Ling has received tutelage from the best including Yeng Zheng, Igor Machlak, Glenn Riddle and Olga Kern.
Demonstrating drive and determination early in her career, she has gone on to perform and collaborate with world renowned musicians such as Eric Silberger, Marco Van Pagee, Josephine Louise Vains, Zoë Black, Mike Perdue, Jude Trexler and Duncan Patton among others. Performances and recital engagements have brought her to the likes of the World Trade Center’s Oculus, St Johns Church in the Village, BMW Edge, Melba Hall, Verbrugghen Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, St Johns Southgate, ABC Iwaki Auditorium, Griffith Theatre, Ettlingen Schloss, He Luting Hall, Costa Hall and many more. Additionally she has been featured on 2MBS and 3MBS radio. Her competition successes include winner of the 2012 Matana Foundation Scholarship for Young Musicians, finalist at the 2017 AMF awards and invitations to compete at the 2012, 2013 Ettlingen and 2015 Lev Vlassenko International Piano Competitions. Ling Ling has won numerous 1st prizes at Australian eisteddfods and also enjoys making music together in chamber or collaborative settings.
On top of a busy schedule, Ling Ling has organized classical music concerts and performed for 5-star luxury hotels - Park Hyatt Hotel, Crown Casino, Hilton Hotels and RACV Club. Passionate about community and contribution to the music industry, she is also an avid performer at nursing homes and a consistent volunteer at charity concerts to fundraise for the arts.
