Lorraine received First Prize at the Third Kawai Asia Piano Competition in 2010 and is a prize-winner at numerous prestigious international and national piano competitions including the 2011 IIYM International Piano Competition in Kansas USA. She has broadcasted on Kansas Public Radio and Fine Music 102.5. She has attained her AMusA, LMusA and LTCL diplomas in piano and violin, all with distinction. In addition to this, she has received her FTCL in piano.
She has also received several awards, including the Roger Woodward Scholarship, 2MBS-FM Recording Award, and Best Baroque Award from the United Music Teachers, and the Alf & Pearl Pollard Memorial Award. She was awarded a full scholarship to attend the 2012 Southeastern Piano Festival at South Carolina, USA. She has attended masterclasses with John Kenneth Adams, Dr. Steven Spooner, Dr. Scott McBride Smith and performed at the Columbia Museum of Art.
She has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Music) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Queensland.
