BMus(Ed. Hons), PhD
I completed a Bachelor of Music Education with First Class Honours, majoring in flute, at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2008. I completed my PhD in Music Education Research at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2017. I have played the flute since age eleven and piano since age seven. I have performed with various ensembles both on the Central Coast and in Sydney and was a member of Symphony Central Coast for more than 10 years.
I am an experienced flute, piano and musicianship/music theory teacher and have taught in a variety of settings including privately, in groups and classes in schools, and was a teacher at the Central Coast Conservatorium and in their Schools Outreach Program for 10 years.
I am currently a mother of two young children and so am teaching from my private home studio in Niagara Park on Fridays and Saturdays. I am happy to teach students of all ages and abilities. Lessons are tailored to suit individual needs and abilities with a focus on enjoyment and development of correct technique.
