Mariamma Mitchell

There are many years of experience tucked under my belt, teaching in universities, schools and my own private studio. I have taught 3-year-olds and 73-year-olds, beginners and pianists who already have degrees in performance. It's all about enabling each and every student to develop music-making in their own way, with passion and understanding.

I'm a performer, too. Classical, folk and popular styles including jazz. Improvising and composing can be part of what I teach! I've given master classes and lectures, I've adjudicated competitions. I have also had many years of experience as an accompanist, including HSC and diploma exams.
