Students learn from an acoustic drum set from 5 years old.
Introductory lessons include learning the parts of the instrument, stick control, developing sense of pulse, drum rudiments, and use of the kit while emphasizing the importance of posture. As children progress, lessons will include exercises aimed to improve independence of hands and feet, dynamics, phrasing, and articulation, and synchronization with backing track.
