The cost of each 30 minute lesson is $20.
The first 5 lessons are introductory one on one lessons which will give you an idea of how the lessons are structured and also gives me a guide to your future guitar development requirements.
The very first lesson I will give you a sheet to fill in any songs you are interested in learning. Learning songs is vital to keeping learning the guitar interesting and fun. You can advance your learning quicker through learning songs. There are development stages to get to the stage of playing songs which is incorporated in each lesson.
After the completion of the 5 week introduction lessons I match students into a small group of two to three.
Learning in groups is paramount to a student’s development as it enables each student to not only play but to also listen at the same time. It is also more fun playing with other musicians, it assists with networking with other students of a similar level and working in groups helps members stay motivated by working as a team. The majority of musicians (professional and non-professional) mostly play in groups by way of being in a band.
Rest assured that all students in the group will be of a similar age and guitar playing ability and if one student advances quicker than the others in the group, the groups can be changed if required.
Lessons are available after school on Wednesdays and Thursdays with times to be confirmed depending on your and my availability.
The only thing you need to bring is your guitar and a fun positive attitude which will go a long way to making learning the guitar one you will never ever regret.
