Professional standard bagpipe player and teacher available in the Gatton area of Queensland (25km East of Toowoomba).

Experience includes World PIpe Band Championships in Grades 1 and 3; Military (RACT P+D) and Police (Qld) Parades; Lodge Installations, and many many many Weddings, Christenings and Funerals.

A very high level of experience in bagpipe music theory and tuition.

Some notable appearances include Piping with John Farnham in "You're the Voice"; playing pipes break in "Long Way to the Top" with ACCA DACCA (ACDC tribute band) as well as competing in a quantity of Highland Games and competitions in Scotland and France.

Qualifications include Australian Pipe Band Association (APBA) Advanced Certificate in Piping; Current member of APBA Judging Panel and Cert IV in Training.

Still competing at A Grade level in Australia solos and bands plus regularly competing in Scotland and overseas.

Available in person and via Skype.

Please be careful to avoid unqualified bagpipe teachers. It is 100 times harder for an incorrectly taught pupil to 'recover' than to teach properly from lesson one.

Mark McKenzie's tutor book will be supplied via a download link at no charge and is the text used.

A practice chanter is required from the first lesson which MAY be available for purchase (at cost price) if in stock or may be purchased from any reputable supplier (a 'cheapy' from ebay is highly discouraged).
