Hello Students and Parents,

I have been teaching violin and piano for many years and through this time have assisted hundreds of students as they work towards AMEB exams, scholarships and competitions.

I am a qualified primary and secondary school teacher, so I relate well to students of all ages and levels.

I have developed my own method for teaching which focuses on thorough technique. Through this method, I have helped many students experience outstanding results.

My youngest students are 3 years old and came to me with no music or violin experience. Between 3 and 6 is often the best time to start, but everyone is different and I can advise you further when we meet for a free introductory lesson.

I also enjoy the challenge of taking on students who have learned elsewhere but not experienced the success that they are looking for. Without a doubt, there will be reasons as to why a student is not achieving to their potential and it gives me great pleasure to find these reasons and work with the student to overcome them.

My students generally stay with me for many years and most of them continue learning the violin until they reach and pass the highest AMEB levels.

Please contact me to arrange a free introductory lesson. I have many violins, so if you are just starting, don't buy one straight away as I may have one that you can borrow, most likely free of charge.

If you are serious about learning (and practicing) properly, I would love to hear from you. Everyone is different and even if I feel that I am not the right teacher for you, I am happy to put you in contact with other teachers who I know to be capable.
