Mary-Anne Ng

I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance, with secondary piano, from the Eastman School of Music in NY, as well as both LTCL and LRSM diplomas in violin. In 2007, I was a winner of the Singapore National Piano and Violin Competition Intermediate category, and 2 years later won another prize in the DynamicWorkz Competition.

I have had many years of orchestral experience as well, playing in the music conservatory as well as in professional orchestras like the Singapore Lyric Opera. I have performed in orchestra tours in Hong Kong and Italy.

I have almost a decade of experience in teaching music (5 years in Australia) privately to a range of ages from as young as 3 years up to over 60 years of age. I have also been a casual music tutor/accompanist to schools in Sydney such as St Ives Preparatory School I especially love to teach kids, establishing a rapport with them and encouraging them to continually improve, inspiring a love and dedication to learning and most of all having fun with violin.
