Mathew Daly is a young and excited violin teacher in the East Fremantle area who has been studying violin for many years from some of WA and Melbourne's most skilled and experienced teachers. He has completed two years of his bachelors degree at the West Australia Academy of Performing Arts with some of the highest scores, and subsequently studied music performance at the University of Melbourne.

Mathew has much teaching experience and has taught privately for over 6 years, as well as at music academies and schools.

Able to teach a range of ages, and student levels, Mathew makes violin lessons exciting and easy to grasp for both young and older students, passing on good technique and musicianship gained from years of personal performing experience.

As well as teaching Mathew is a performer and has performed in many of WA’s best ensembles, including the Perth Symphony Orchestra, Fremantle Chamber Orchestra, as well as various string quartets, baroque orchestras, and symphony orchestras in Melbourne.

Lessons are well structured and planned individually, based off a unique system including Suzuki method, AMEB, and technical exercise methods. Students will not only be guided in their learning through pieces, but also an assortment of scales and exercises, focusing on the development of correct techniques and skills in line with the student's current ability, development of musicality and musicianship, sightreading, and theory.

Mathew is happy to guide students through all levels of learning, as well as prepare students for AMEB exams, school or youth orchestras, or competitions in line with the student's goals, with current and previous students receiving consistently high grades on their music performance exams, as well as participating in and winning awards at various local performance competitions.

Rates are:

80$ Hour Lesson

45$ Half Hour Lesson

These rates are charged on a term-by-term basis, in accordance with WA school terms.

NOTE: Lessons may continue throughout WA school holiday periods if desired. Whilst rates are set at a term-by-term basis, exceptions may be made as required in the case of financial hardship.
