Music Theory Lessons

Hi, I'm Matthew! I'm offering music theory lessons for students preparing for ATAR Music and AMEB theory examinations, as well as beginners looking to develop their musical knowledge.

I completed ATAR Music in high school before commencing study at WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) majoring in Jazz Performance, where I was also part of the Jazz Theory Extension class.

Lessons can cover reading music, rhythm, scales, chords, harmony, ear training and general musicianship, with a focus on the individual needs of each student.

Whether you're preparing for an exam, learning an instrument or simply looking to improve your understanding of music, I offer a fun and relaxed approach tailored to your experience and goals.

I have a current Working With Children Check and can travel to your home for lessons in Scarborough and surrounding suburbs. Online lessons are available too. Flexible scheduling is available, including weekdays after school and weekends.
