ABOUT ME
Hey guys! I’m Max, a saxophonist, occasional music producer(?) and pianist. I graduated from Caulfield Grammar School (Wheelers Hill Campus) in 2023 with a raw score of 42 in VCE Music Performance with a FULL SCORE OF 200/200 on the final recital (only 1 of 2 saxophonists in the whole state to achieve this) Alongside this, I attained a high distinction in AmusA (Saxophone) at the age of only 14.

I’m currently offering classical and jazz saxophone lessons for

• AMEB: Preliminary to Grade 8 (Alto + Soprano)
• VCE Music Performance Units tutoring 1-2 (Sax)
• VCE Music Performance Units tutoring 3-4 (Sax)

Additionally, I've not only had the pleasure of being extensively taught and mentored by the best saxophonists in the country such as Niels Bijl, Lachlan Davidson, Joseph Lallo and Nessyah Buder, but throughout my 8+ years of performing sax at concerts, competitions and festivals, I’ve picked up numerous, game-changing insights from the practice room to the stage, all of which I seek to pass on to my students.

MY APPROACH: I offer a unique mentoring style, designed to fit your specific goals
When you learn with me, I provide each of my students a DETAILED ROADMAP on: where they are now, what are their goals, how do we achieve these goals using checkpoints + consistent feedback and finally, what does being prepared for the final performance look like. This enables me to create a TAILORED plan for EACH INDIVIDUAL STUDENT to guide them in the right direction whether that be about piece selection, practice methods, technical skills or performance tricks.
