Offering Oboe, Cor Anglais and Clarinet Lessons suitable for beginner to advanced students.
Striving for excellence in performance of Oboe and Cor Anglais and promoter of the Australian music scene.
I am a Brisbane based passionate, dedicated musician and teacher specialising in Oboe and woodwind. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and am in my third year of study. I have undergone studies in music theory, pedagogy, aural studies and large and small ensemble studies and have broad knowledge of the aspects of music performance and teaching. I have been involved with music from an early age, performing in the Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra on Oboe in the Orchestra and Clarinet in the Wind Ensemble till my entry into University. I also engaged with music thoroughly at school, studying music and music extension classes as well as playing in the school Wind Orchestra (Oboe) and Stage Band (Tenor Saxophone 1) as extra-curricular activity. Furthermore, I was part of Creative Generation State Schools Onstage in 2014 and the State Honours Ensemble Program in 2013-14. More recently I have performed in Queensland Musical Theatre's production of Carousel in November 2016, and Miss Saigon in June 2017. I performed with QPO during 2015-16, and am currently playing Oboe 1 and Cor Anglais in the 2nd Queensland Youth Orchestra. As well as this I have engaged in various ensemble studies at the Conservatorium as well as solo recitals and performances, performing with the Conservatorium Wind Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra and recent hit production of West Side Story. I am now able to teach Oboe, Cor Anglais (English Horn), and Clarinet in my home studio or in nearby student's homes on a flexible schedule. I am also able to provide tutorials for Aural skills or Music Theory. Please feel free to contact me to enquire about performance or teaching, and I thank you for taking the time to review my profile.
