Melanie Radcliffe

I've been playing flute for just over 30 years up and down the east coast of Australia. My experience in performance includes concert bands, orchestral, ensembles and both professional and amateur musical and stage productions, and most recently 5 years full time with the Australian Army Band, also qualified on also sax and studied jazz for three years. Prior to that experience I played classical saxophone.

I have taught for the past 15 years, in schools prior to Army, and privately inclusive and for all of the other time. Students as young as 8 up to 67!

I encourage lessons for all ages, styles, goals and abilities. Whether you want to work towards an examination or learn purely for enjoyment and leisure.

Music Theory goes hand in hand with learning the foundations of music and performance and is the best way to get an understanding of why you are playing what you are playing.
