Jeronimo has been active for 45 years in the field of creative arts nationally and internationally and holds extensive experience with Brazilian Capoeira culture, Brazilian music, classical, folk, jazz, rock and commercial performance, musical direction and artistic management.
Born and raised in the Brazilian Amazon jungle, he spent 20 years working as a full time and part-time bassist in symphonic orchestras and have been a member and conductor in classical and folkloric vocal and instrumental ensembles in Brazil and Australia. He lately added to his innate artistic skills the know-how of a Master of Music (Composition) qualification of the University of Sydney - amid other music qualifications.
His top achievement is to keep carrying on as an exemplary model of person inspiring the educational lifestyle and well-being of his dear daughter Marina, born and raised in Bondi Beach.
In his youth Jeronimo achieved national volleyball rank in Brazil and his ideal hobby is to teach and play beach volley in Bondi Beach with family and friends.
Using his interpersonal skills and naturally engaging personality Mestre Jeronimo pioneered the establishment of the first Australian School of Capoeira in Sydney at the Bondi Pavilion Community Cultural Center in 1988. He teaches for a variety of events in Australia and internationally.
Living in Brazil, Europe and Australia he gained knowledge of the Brazilian, French, Spanish, English, German, and Italian languages.
Working as a writer, composer and multi instrumentalist has recorded his original works in various genres, toured extensively and published divergent artistic bilingual books and music methods.
