Michael offers modern music lessons in a variety of instruments, as well as music theory, electronic music and DJing. Lessons are available for: Piano, Guitar, Trumpet, Harmonica, Electronic music production, and DJing.

Michael is a national award winning musician and multi-instrumentalist who has taught piano and guitar in some of the most prestigious music schools in Melbourne including Allen’s Billy Hyde in Bourke St Melbourne CBD, The Sound Lab in Prahran, and Manhattan School of Music in Eltham. As well as teaching, he works as a DJ and MC for Weddings and Corporate events and is a recording session musician.

Michael takes a modern approach to learning music focused on enjoyment and teaching students how to play the music they love. In lessons, students will learn how to read music and develop a repertoire of songs they want to play, develop skills in aural, rhythm, music theory, improvisation (a skill necessary to play with other musicians) and composition (writing your own music can be one of the most rewarding parts of learning to play an instrument). Students can also learn how to play many different styles of music depending on the kind of music they like, including classical, jazz, blues, pop and rock.

Recommended lessons time is 1hr, as this allows for a deeper and more interesting approach to learning music with all the elements being covered. All ages welcome. Students can start as young as 4, and pre-piano and early childhood lessons are available for younger students with parental supervision & involvement.
