Michelle is a multi-instrumentalist having studied piano, flute, guitar, viola/violin and bass. She has been playing piano since the young age of 7 and has been passionate about music ever since. As a teenager she expanded her musical studies to include guitar and other instruments.
Her main instrument of choice is guitar though and she is actively involved in bands.
Her influences and musical passions have covered a wide range of styles including rock, classical, reggae, metal and jazz music. She has been involved in many bands and ensembles on a variety of different instruments. Apart from her general appreciation of music, the diversity of styles that Michelle has enjoyed and experienced can be largely attributed to her time spent at Box Hill Institute College of Music in Melbourne where she studied the Diploma of Music Performance (Contemporary) 2002 - 2003. From a young age she has worked very hard on her musicianship skils and has undertaken many AMEB exams. Michelle's goal as a music educator is to instill a love for music and help students develop into self-sufficient creative musicians. She incorporates technique, theory, musicianship and songs in a fun and relaxed manner.
Michelle has availability for new students.
