Michelle Lin

  • Performance Diploma in Viola
  • Performance Diploma in Piano
  • Grade 10 in Violin

I am originally from Vancouver, Canada, been calling Melbourne home ever since 2016.

I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching music, in particular piano, violin, viola and music theory in both Canada and Australia. I have experience teaching all levels within the AMEB system. I am able to develop excellent rapport with both my students and their parents, and I always feel extremely privileged to be able to share my love for music to both developing and more advanced learners alike.

My current qualifications from Canada include performance diplomas from the Associate of the Canadian Royal Conservatory of Music in Performance for both Viola and Piano (equivalent of Associate Disploma AMUSA in AMEB), and also Grade 10 in Violin (equivalent of grade 8 in AMEB).

I have also played in numerous orchestras and competed in chamber music, bringing along with me a wealth of experience in playing at a performance level.

I am also a certified Doctorate in Physiotherapist from the University of Melbourne. My passion for teaching has lead me to a teaching assistant position in the anatomy lab at the University of Melbourne.

Please do not hesitate to send me an email or a text message at 0481-145-028 if you have any questions in relation to my lessons or teaching style. Lessons will be conducted in my studio in Armadale. I understand people have busy lives nowadays and travelling isn't always an option. I have experience teaching via online platform such as Zoom as well. Reference is available upon request.

I look forward to hearing from you! :)

Kind regards,
