Mirko Guerrini

I am a 49yo Italian professional musician and music teacher.

I have a Master Degree in Classical Saxophone and a Master Degree in Jazz.

I have studied in Italy and United States, and have taught and played all around the world, such as in Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, the UK, Australia, France, Spain and of course Italy.

I have played with great artists such as Caetano Veloso, Billy Cobham, Dave Liebman, Hermeto Pascoal, Peter Erskine, Kenny Wheeler, Stefano Bollani a.o.

At the moment I teach Jazz Saxophone at Monash University in Clayton, saxophone at Wesley College, Huntingtower School and Kingswood College.

I’ve published 5 books: 3 based on some jazz saxophone Masters, and 2 containing some of my compositions, written for chamber orchestra or just simple lead sheets.

I have recorded more than 60 CDs, 20 of them under my name.

I really love to teach music and share all my knowledge with students.

I also prepare students for AMEB exams.
