Have had classical and modern piano-teaching experience from 2008 to 2015 (teaching students from ages 4 to adult), after which I took a break to have and raise my daughter. I am now seeking piano students to begin teaching again!
AMEB exams are not compulsory, although I can assist with preparation for these if that is what you choose to aim for. However, I very much welcome casual students – those who want to play casually for fun, have a song they have always wanted to learn, or even learn to improvise and play chords, or learn to read/write a chord sheet. I can assist with aural training as I do believe this is important and strongly believe I can help you develop super-ears. :) I also believe in tailoring every lesson structure to every student, because every student is different and have different learning styles and paces, likes and dislikes.
I also casually accompany instrumentalists/vocalists for rehearsals/exams so if you would like to rehearse, I can do this as well.
I have a grand piano in my house but also have a toddler, so if you are ok with a casual setting, I am more than happy to welcome you. Beginners are more than welcome; I can assist you in finding out where to begin on your musical journey.
One free trial lesson (30-minutes) and if you decide to take the leap, you can choose to pay for four weeks or a whole term. My charge is $30 for half an hour; $60 an hour.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
