Composition Lessons

Monica teaches all styles of composition, including Instrumental and Electroacoustic Composition. Monica holds a Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of Sydney, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, with 1st Class Honours in composition.

Areas of composition include:

• counterpoint
• harmony
• orchestration
• electronic music
• max/msp

I teach all genres of composition including the following:

• classical
• serial
• atonal
• symphony orchestra
• chamber ensemble
• rare ensembles
• jazz ensemble
• big band
• wind ensemble
• radiophonic
• film music
• music for multichannel speaker setups including 5.1.

Monica teaches at her studio in the Hills District, but also can travel to the students place depending on availability.

Lessons are also available online.
Term, midterm, weekly payment options available. 30 min, 45 min, 60 min lessons available.

Note: For students wishing to learn about electroacoustic composition, students need their own computer that they can bring to lessons.
