Stay toasty this winter by learning some truly toe-tapping folk tunes with Tree Folk Music. We’ll be diving into some topics like creativity, singing & playing, and folk traditions from around the world. There will be a slow class followed by a fast class each time. You can come to all five sessions or pick and choose the ones you’re most interested in.


Monique Clare – Cello, advanced classes
Lucy Menzies – Cello, beginner classes
Guest tutor: Rob Davidson - Double Bass, creativity & improvisation

Who are the workshops for?
• String players, or anyone happy to adapt for their instrument!
• Beginners who are able to play on all four strings, use extensions and use the bow
• Intermediate, advanced and professional players
• Classical players who’d like to learn folk
• Folk players who’d like to learn new tunes

Sunday sessions are:
3:00-4:00pm Beginner (slower)
4:00-4:30pm Tea break
4:30-5:30pm Advanced (faster)
Tuesday sessions are:
6:30-7:30pm Beginner (slower)
7:30-8:00pm Tea break
8:00-9:00pm Advanced (faster)
