Monique teaches beginner to intermediate piano, vocals and songwriting lessons and workshops on the Northern Beaches, Sydney.
Learning music with Monique is enjoyable with tailored lessons to suit each student and their skill level. Practical and theoretical musicianship is developed and the student has the opportunity to start learning their favourite songs in no time.
Lessons with Monique can be tailored to the AMEB Classical Piano, Piano for Leisure and Contemporary Popular Music exams and students can gain credits in her lessons towards Duke of Ed Assessments as she is a credited assessor.
Songwriting workshops include writing and recording the student’s own song, either in a recording studio or in a group setting. Monique guides the student lyrically, musically and melodically though the development of different songwriting tools which overcome common blocks like writing blocks.
Early childhood music appreciation lessons and workshops are also available for individual or group settings. Rhythm and melody are explored and dance movement can also incorporated into these workshops.
Monique also holds workshops for music theory, stagecraft and presence, beginners vocals and many more which are held at Mona Vale Music in the school holidays.
AMEB Classically trained, Monique has completed her Advanced Diploma in Songwriting, is currently completing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and has just written and released her debut album, “Nothing Without You”.
Monique has taught in various schools such as Allans Music + Billy Hyde’s (MVM), Rock God Music School on the Central Coast and C3 Oxford Falls, holding kids workshop programs for singing/songwriting and music appreciation.
