Australian tenor, Brad Cooper is a dynamic performer, equally excited to engage in Opera, Operetta, Lieder & Kabarett.
Brad studied with Maree Ryan at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the National Opera Studio in London and with Marilyn Horne at Music Academy of the West, California.
In 2020 Brad dives into the world of Wagner, preparing the title role of Lohengrin with Siegfried Jerusalem to understudy with Opera Australia and performing the Shepherd in Tristan und Isolde for Opera Queensland. He revisits Handel’s Messiah for St Andrews Cathederal, Sydney and prepares for his first Florestan in Beethoven’s Fidelio for Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in 2021.
Brad’s international career has sen him tour throughout China as Radamès in Aida, perform Tamino in Die Zauberflöte & Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail for Oper Köln, Tamino again for Opera Australia & English Touring Opera, Albert in Albert Herring for Opera Australia, Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia for Opera Holland Park, Don Alonse in Grétry’s L’amant jaloux for Opera Comique, Davey in Jonathan Dove’s Siren Song & Aubry in Marschener’s Der Vampyr for Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, Emilio in Tutti in Maschera at Wexford Festival, creating the role of Clem in Misha Hamel’s Snow White for Nederlandse Reisopera, Jonathan in Handel’s Saul & Beethoven’s 'Ode to Joy' for Philharmonia Choirs at Sydney Opera House, Britten’s St Nicolas at Newcastle Music Festival, Handel’s Messiah at Sydney Town Hall and singing alongside Anna Netrebko in Moscow.
Brad's COOPER singt KABARETT events have taken him to Leyton House in London, The Bop Stop in Cleveland, Technopolis 20 in Cyprus, City Recital Hall & Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon in Sydney and Melbourne Recital Centre & Savage Club in Melbourne. A NIGHT in VIENNA concerts are a sell out successes at the Hydro Majestic and ARIAS in the OUTBACK is an annual hit at the Silverton Hotel in Australia.
Brad is passionate about sharing his love of music. He maintains a teaching and masterclass schedule around his busy performing schedule and can often be found sharing his valuable vocal expertise with choirs.
Brad’s MAGIC FLUTE WORKSHOP has brought the fantastical world of Opera to thousands of children in Australia, his 2018 choral & band project TERRA AUSTRALIS introduced hundreds of students in Ohio to Australian Music, while his Pitch & Present - Opera Edition inspires corporate professionals to use their voice to be truly heard.
