SITAR LESSONS BASICS TO ADVANCED,WORK SHOPS

I am a senior direct disciple of USTAD SHAHID PARVEZ KHAN and have been trained under him under the guru shish parampara system.

Having undergone serious training under him for over 20 years, I have the ability to coach students form beginning to advanced levels to play the sitar.

What I offer:

1. Training for beginners to advanced levels on the art of sitar playing

2. Basic technique of playing

3. Theory of Ragas and their systematic development

4. basic sargams and paltas (runs of notes that follow a rhythmic pattern in different ragas)
   5.simple compositions for intermediate level students with taans
   in different rhythmic cycles.

5. Interesting compositions with taan development for advanced students along with detailed aalap development (Slow movement without rhythm)

6. Preparation for simple concerts.

7. Assistance for procuring high quality sitars

8. I have a high end work shop set up that caters also to complete sitar maintenance. (Javari work, String replacements, other structural repairs to a high calibre)
