Natasha Fearnside is a freelance clarinetist strongly immersed in Melbourne’s contemporary and classical music communities. She has performed throughout the United States, United Kingdom, China, Singapore, India and Europe. She regularly tours, records and performs with numerous chamber and orchestral ensembles including Rubiks Collective, Forest Collective, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and Short Black Opera Company.
Natasha holds her Bachelor of Music degree from the Queensland University of Technology, her Bachelor of Music (Degree with Honours) and her Master’s of Music (Music Performance) from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music studying with Robert Schubert, Philip Arkinstall, and David Griffiths. She has also studied internationally at the Hidden Valley Music Seminar in California, USA and the Darmstadt International Course for New Music, Germany. Natasha has benefitted from tutelage and mentorship with clarinet superstars Mark Nuccio (USA) and Ernesto Molinari (Switzerland).
Natasha has a passion for teaching and regularly tutors at Melbourne Youth Music, Border Music Camp, Victorian State Music Camp and has adjudicated CLASAX Performance Competitions. She currently teaches at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and from her private studio in North Melbourne. Natasha is a D’Addario Australia Artist.
