I am a Sydney-based music educator, pianist, and musicologist. My primary piano teachers have included Lee Jordan Anders, Oksana Lutsyshyn, Maria Clodes Jaguaribe, Natalie Phillips, and Eric Huebner. I received a master’s degree in piano performance and a Ph.D. in music history and theory from the University at Buffalo (SUNY). I also conducted postdoctoral research on a Fulbright fellowship at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary.
Recently, I have served on the musicology faculty at the University at Buffalo and currently write program notes for the New York Philharmonic. I am also an active chamber musician and specialist in contemporary classical repertoire and have worked with many conductors, including Brad Lubman, Robert Treviño, Christian Baldini, Eduardo Leandro, and James Baker.
