Nicky Griffith is a highly skilled strings teacher and Cellist, based in Shailer Park, QLD. She is employed full time as the Instrumental Music Program Coordinator and Strings Program Director at a large Gold Coast school, and has taught at primary and secondary schools across South East Queensland. Nicky has over 15 years of experience teaching privately, both in-person and online, and has seen students successfully audition for programs such as QYO and QLD Young Conservatorium, regularly receiving high exam results.

Nicky specialises in Cello pedagogy, however she also takes on students in Double Bass, Violin and Viola, dependant on level.

Nicky is now teaching primarily from her home in Shailer Park, however, depending on availability for online lessons, Nicky welcomes students in any location to apply for lessons.

Formerly Principal Cellist of the Queensland Youth Symphony and Cadenza Chamber Players, and member of the University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Nicky has additionally performed with symphony orchestras such as the Queensland Philharmonia (as Principal Cellist), Toowoomba Concert Orchestra, Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra and the Barrier Reef Orchestra in North Queensland. Furthermore Nicky has worked with many musical theatre companies across South East Queensland as Cellist.

Nicky is very dedicated and passionate about music and with a love for teaching, aims to pass these core attributes onto students.

Due to demand, Nicky is currently predominantly only taking on new students at her home in Shailer Park.
