Queensland cellist Nils Hobiger was awarded his Performer’s Certificate from Trinity College London in 2006, his AMEB Associate Diploma of Music in 2007, a Bachelor of Music in 2012, and his Bachelor of Music Honors 2013 on an orchestral scholarship. In 2016, Nils completed the Professional Performance Program at the Australian National Academy of Music and then moved to Sydney for the Sydney Symphony Orchestral Fellowship Program in 2017.
Now based back in Melbourne, Nils is currently freelancing while ongoing his passion for folk music and improvisation, performing regularly with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Eclective Strings and Victorian Opera.
