Pete Kaewmechai

I am a passionate musician and educator with a special interest in jazz and improvised music. I have a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium. As a teacher, I have experience running successful instrumental music programs and tutoring instruments in multiple schools across Northern NSW and South East QLD.

I have introduced the guitar to beginners and taught intermediate and advanced students in styles such as jazz, blues, rock and contemporary.

I aim to instil within all students important musicianship skills such as rhythm/time feel, music reading and improvisation in addition to technical instrumental skills. In addition to these skills, I aim to guide all my students to find joy in music and achieve a sense of accomplishment from their hard work.
