I played saxophone (and trumpet) in high school and was ok, but never had great teachers. Often I taught myself. So when I decided to start playing again I was looking for a great teacher that specialised in saxophone. I started having lessons with Peter in term 4, 2023. Apart from a couple of our early lessons, most of our lessons have been remote due to our locations.
What I really enjoy about Peter’s lessons is the variety of music and material he brings to the lessons. I always have a few pieces I’m working on, but there is always something new. He knows when to push me along, but also understands that as an adult learner with children, sometimes my time to practice can be limited. He also shows a lot of patience when teaching, especially when I struggle with something and feel like he may be explaining it to me for the 50th time and I should already know it!
I have improved a lot since starting with Peter, and am very motivated to keep playing.
