Peter studied cello in Sydney under Colleen McMeekin and later at the NSW State Conservatorium of Music. He then joined the ABC National Training Orchestra which paved the way to his first professional posting in the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Whilst in Hobart Peter undertook further studies with Sela Trau.
After moving to Queensland Peter performed with the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra and later the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Peter then changed musical directions considerably by moving back to Sydney where he played Electric Bass guitar in an original R & B band.
After a further move, this time to Canberra, Peter became a long time member of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and String Suite, a professional string quartet specialising in classical, modern, contemporary, folk and popular music.
Since moving to Melbourne, Peter teaches at some of Melbourne's most prestigious schools including Sacre Coeur and St Kevin's College. He also plays and has toured to China with Melbourne Opera and RMPO.
Peter is a keen musician, arranger and conductor. He also plays Guitar, Bass Guitar, Mandolin and Piano.
