Phoebe Bognár is an Australian-born flutist, composer and improviser. Her approach to music is sewn with vibrancy and diversity, and explores a diverse range of genres, repertoire and styles.
Phoebe has given numerous performances across the globe as a soloist and in ensembles, sharing music with audiences in London, Berlin, Oslo, Brisbane, Sydney and the United States of America. She has been a featured artist in concerts, festivals and exhibitions notably the Bang on a Can Summer Festival, Musiikin Aika Time of Music Festival, the Nief-Norf Summer Music Festival, the Tyalgum Music Festival, the Queensland Music Festival and New Sounds Brisbane.
Phoebe is passionate about collaboration across genres, art forms and disciplines and delving into new and exciting ways of creative expression. Her projects have also been the recipient of several prestigious grants and honours including awards from the Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Queensland, Griffith University and The David Cubbin Memorial Fund.
