Phoebe Xu

Hello! My name is Phoebe and I am an oboist based in St Ives.
I am attentive to a student's goals and strive to foster an enjoyment and passion for music.

I have experience with AMEB exams-- attaining my AmusA and LmusA diplomas on oboe, both with distinction. Having received a full music scholarship to a private school, I will provide students with advice to reach their full musical potential.

I have experience as a performer, having been selected for ENCORE for my HSC music exam from the NSW Education Standards Authority. I also won the KPO Player's Award and Barbara Robinson award in the NSW Secondary Schools Concerto Competition. Playing oboe in The Sydney Youth Orchestra and Australian Youth Orchestra has given me experience as an orchestral musician.

I have helped a student attain 3 full music scholarships to private schools in Sydney. I will share the knowledge and experience I have attained in competitions and performances with students to help them reach their goals.
