Po Goh is undertaking an Honours year in music at the University of Melbourne, having completed a double Bachelor degree in Music and Commerce at Monash University. He is specialising in classical piano performance and has had tutelage under Kristian Chong, Aura Go, Len Vorster, Robert Chamberlain and Kenji Fujimura.
Recent achievements include coming first place in season 1 of 3MBS 103.5FM's 2019 series of The Talent and Monash University's 2018 Concerto Competition, as well as receiving multiple awards from the Monash Arts Faculty. He has passed his LMusA with honours and was successful in the VCE music program.
Po has four years of experience teaching in a private studio setting, as well as experience as a high school instrumental teacher and musical director in amateur theatre productions. He has experience teaching all students from beginner to VCE.
In lessons, Po aims to develop musicality and technique, and make music and enjoyable and interesting pursuit. He believes sound technical foundation is important in piano playing and will greatly enhance a student’s experience in piano, but above all, he believes teaching should be about helping students create music.
Po holds lessons at his home in Mount Waverley. He holds a current Working With Children Check.
He also offers accompaniment, composition and arrangement services.
