Women’s Guitar Group aims to provide safe, supportive and fun opportunities for women to learn and develop their guitar playing, music knowledge and creativity.
Founder Rachel Wilson developed her guitar and song writing skills as a student in Chicks with Picks, learning from folk musician Helen Begley. She then completed a Diploma of Music Performance at Melbourne Polytechnic before starting Women’s Guitar Group in 2020.
As well as weekly or fortnightly small group guitar classes, we also offer private lessons, a monthly song writing group, friendly informal jam sessions, workshops and low key performance opportunities.
