Most people just want to learn to play for fun and relaxation and can be surprised at how quickly you can strum a few chords and start playing music on the guitar. More advanced students can be provided with all the necessary tools to pass AMEB examinations or to prepare for auditions for university level institutions.
My approach to teaching is to equip the student not only with a thorough understanding of the instrument, but also the nuts and bolts of music itself, in a fun and accessible way. So not only will you learn your favourite songs, you’ll also learn a myriad of different techniques and styles plus how to read music, how to improvise, compose, and everything else in between.
