Raya Moein began the flute at the age of 8. She has been awarded the Certificate of Performance (CMus) and Associate Diploma (AMusA), both with distinction, as well as her Licentiate Diploma (LMusA) in 2023.
She has learnt under the tutelage of Jocelyn Fazzone, Dr Ozvaldo Gomes Santos, and Tomomi Matsuo.
Raya has also participated in numerous competitions and has obtained state and national championship titles, winning first prize in the state and national Under 19s Flute, Open Flute and Champion of Champions sections. She also received first prize in the Lane Cove Young Soloists competition in 2023 and performed in the Sydney Opera House in Encore 2024.
In addition to flute, Raya is currently playing the piano at CMus level.
