Overview

• I teach from a lifetime in rhythm; three decades of professional performance, research, and one-to-one mentoring shaped by work at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and across Australia’s jazz and improvising communities.

• Lessons are spacious, clear, and individually tailored. We work on what you want to develop, supported by what I see is ready in your hands, ears, and musical imagination.

• Areas of study include: sound, feel, time, technique, improvisation, coordination, repertoire, creative process, and the deeper architecture of drumming as a musical language.

• My approach is learner-centred and adaptive. Every student grows along a path designed specifically for them whether they are building foundations or refining advanced artistry.
