AMEB Music Theory Lessons

Hi, I'm Riley and am currently studying my Bachelor of Music Composition at the Melbourne Conservatorium. I completed my VCE in 2023 with a 96.3 and raw scored 43 in VCE Music Composition. My folio work was selected to be performed at Top Class Sounds (VCAA Seasons of Excellence).I have experience tutoring in both musical and academic fields (Mathematics) for 3 years.

I offer 30-60 minute in-person or online lessons in Music theory, in which I teach theoretical concepts required in all grades of AMEB music theory exams, as well as guiding students through the AMEB music theory books. I also teach more advanced concepts such as atonality and serialism, harmonic analysis, extended chords and jazz chords, identifying different kinds of modulation (e.g. chromatic mediant modulation), and the rules of music notation.
