I have studied composition with Paul Smith, Nigel Butterly, Ofer Ben-Amots, Jan Jirasec and Robert Constable.
I have completed a composition major at the University of New England. At Berklee College of Music, in Boston USA, I majored in orchestration and contemporary composition techniques
with film composer Ben Newman and classical chamber composer Marti Epstein. I won a Berklee Scholarship based on my piano concerto "Rhapsody on a Theme by Gershwin". In 2018 I achieved a high distinction in "Advanced Theory Techniques" as part of a graduate program at the University of Queensland and
I love teaching composition and opening students eyes and ears to the many varied possibilities both with acoustic and electronic instruments.
All composition & theory lessons are taught both using paper and computer notation software in my studio. I use Sibelius composition software and Protools as my digital audio workstation with various sound libraries.
